Diagnosis Codes are ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes from the US Department of Health and Human Services.
To enter a new Diagnosis Code, follow the steps below.
1. Go to the Codes menu and select Diagnosis Codes.
2. A window entitled Codes - Diagnosis will appear. Click on the Add button that is displayed on the toolbar near the top of the window.
3. A new Add window is opened.
4. The Add window has two fields. Begin by typing the ICD number assigned for the desired code (e.g. 721.1) in the Code field. Then press the tab key (or the enter key) to move to the Description field, where you can type the description of the diagnosis.
5. Click on the Next button if you wish to enter another Diagnosis Code. Otherwise, click the OK button. You will return to the Codes - Diagnosis window, and the code(s) you just entered will be displayed.

This opens an extensive list of Diagnosis Codes. Click on the code you wish to use, then click the Select button. You will return to the Add window, and the information for the code you selected will have been entered into the fields.
